The team

Guides who have won on this water

Between them: a World Championship medal, a national title, a Fly Casting Master and a professional tier. They coach national squads in the off-season and fish these rivers the rest of the year.

A guide is the difference between fishing a river and reading it. Ours know every stretch, which technique the water asks for on the day, and where the good fish sit when conditions turn. Several have competed at national and international level, and all of them teach — casting, nymphing, fly tying.

If you want to go deeper into technique, or pick up the habits that competitive fly fishing rewards, a day out with us will get you there faster than a season on your own. And if your interest is less about method and more about being on good water with people who care about it, that works too. We will show you the rivers and the mountains, and a fair amount of the culture on either side of the bank.

How a day works

What a guided day looks like

01
We talk first
Before you arrive we agree what you want from the trip — technique, water type, pace, how hard you want to walk.
02
We pick the river on the morning
Eight rivers within forty minutes means we fish the one that is right that day, not the one on the itinerary.
03
We fish, and we teach
As much or as little instruction as you want. Casting, nymphing, reading water, entomology, or simply a good day out.
04
Every fish goes back
Barbless, wet hands, short fights, quick releases. These are wild fish and there are no stocked replacements.

Who we coach when we're not here

National teams come to León to train. So do brands, film crews and magazines. The same people who run those sessions are the ones who will be standing behind you on the river.

Full day, tuition or boat
Book a guide
Full-day guiding, casting and nymphing tuition, fly-tying sessions, or boat fishing on the lakes. Tell us what you want and we'll put together rates and dates.
